React.js and Flux link roundup

Here’s a small collection of links for developers looking to learn.

React.js

• The official Facebook React docs.
• Do the official Tutorial.
• Read Thinking in React.
• The Component Lifecycle. describes the core events that happen in a react component. Important
• This Terminology page really helped me understand the difference between a react element and react component.
• When you start writing more complex jsx this if-else page is useful.
• The difference between props vs state.
• A thrown to the wolves intro to react contains some errata due to the changes in react’s api since this tutorial was written. But it’s what I used personally to learn react.

Flux

• This article was heavily circulated What the Flux?
• There are many implementations and takes on the Flux architecture
  • Yahoo’s Fluxible
  • Fluxxor
  • TuxedoJS bills itself as a react+flux quickstarter of sorts
  • rx-flux relies heavily on Microsoft’s Reactive Extensions

Relay

Relay was announced at this weeks react.js conf. It sounds very cool promising the ability to colocate you components logic and data-fetching logic. Something like Relay would encompass flux.
